You indulge this odd THOUGHT knowing full well that there is not, never have been, and never will be, a set of arms in your desk holy shit how did these get in there?!

You quickly recall stuffing the torn extremities of one of your PRACTICE DUMMIES in the drawer during a HALF-ASSED attempt at cleaning your ridiculously disheveled APARTMENT. It's like ground zero all up in here. You unceremoniously shove the appendages back in their place and close the drawer. Now that that's settled, you can get back to what REALLY MATTERS.

Playing computer games.

You look back at the window showing your sister. She seems a little preoccupied with the Mailwoman at the moment.

IT: hey.
IT: i know you're busy, but i'm going to continue messing around with this stuff.
IT: thought you'd like to know.

You examine the task bar again and select the REVISE button. Clicking a corner of your sister's DORM, you create a nearly perfect square that disappears into the wall. The moment you release the button a new section is added to the room where your square had previously been. This is a very interesting game indeed.

Kaitou Shifts awkwardly on her feet for a moment in the doorway. her eyes dart to the mailwoman and she sheepishly asks if she would like to come in. then takes note of the alert on her PHONE

PP: Fine. just try not to mess anything else up please?
PP: If you need space to mess around in there are 2 spare rooms and a balcony.

IT: you have three spare rooms now, btw.

You go to the task bar and open the PHERNALIA REGISTRY, which shows you a limited variety of devices. Zooming out to the left spare room, you DEPLOY the TOTEM LATHE. It hits the floor with a visible THUD. Not wishing to incur your younger siblings notorious wrath, you deploy the other two devices (the CRUXTRUDER in the right spare room and the ALCHEMITER on the balcony) with careful gentleness.

You wave in the postal lady, explaining to her about the game and that your ART CHEST dropping on her truck was your brothers fault. you show her into the living room and ask if she'd like anything, soda? Snacks? candy?

you pause slightly when you hear the THUD, Sato is probably messing around again. you remind yourself to inact a minor vengance on him somehow later.

PP: Hey, whats with the shaking building?

IT: just a totem lathe.
IT: won't happen again.

You turn back to the task bar. There seems to be one more item in the PHERNALIA REGISTRY. You attempt to DEPLOY the mysterious rectangle, but nothing happens. Unfazed, you try again. And again.
And again.

Okay, so the mysterious rectangle clearly isn't going anywhere anytime soon. You pester your sister

IT: i've done all i can from this end.
IT: for now.
IT: it would seem that it's your turn.

You settle your guest on the sofa with a plate of cookies and a pepsie before taking a look at your brothers reply.

PP: Okay then.. guess ill go investegate these.. whatevers youve been dropping in my dorm.

you check out the big platformy thing on your balcony first, the platformy thing that is actually called an ALCHEMITER. but you dont know that. you examine it, even standing on it but find no controls or any other kind of make-things-happen apparatus, so you move on to the left room and examine the TOTEM LATHE, you examine it and find a slot suitible for captchalouge cards. experimentally you place an empty one from your captcha deck into the slot, but nothing happens.

continually perplexed, you move on to the other spare room and examine the tube thing in it ( The CRUXTRUDER) this thing seems more straitforward than the other two contraptions. you try turning the wheel on its side, you can feel somthing pushing up from inside as you turn it, but the lid is stuck tight and doesnt seem to want to budge. you are getting RATHER ANNOYED.

"c'mon you stupid thing!" you say, and like any sensebile, sane person would do, you... Raise your leg and bring it down as hard as you can on the lid in frustration.

the CRUXTRUDER seems to fluxuate, wildly, before the lid pops off like a frightened otter. a strang looking, glowing ball of ever changing energy rises from the tube

You watch your sister's antics with a small smile, which promptly fades at the sight of the glowing orb and a set of digital numbers you know were not there before. You don't like the look of that.

IT: good question.
IT: better question; what is it counting down to?

Without waiting for an answer, you pull up Game FAQs and begin searching for Sburb walk-throughs. Count downs can never be trusted and always bring bad news. This is a universal fact.

You carefullt aproach the machine, noticing something peeking out of the tube along with the countdown. you turn the wheel and extrude a large round cylinder of strange bright blue material (CRUXITE, but you are uninformed of that fact) the same color as the ball of energy that hovers around you.

you examine it before almost instinctually captchalouging it.

PP: yes, those are very good questions, and what id love are answers!

You finally DEPLOY the mysterious rectangle, which appears to be some kind of PRE-PUNCHED CARD.

You pick up the PRE-PUNCHED CARD, its a strange red color and bears the image of a flower, though the image is interuptted by the many holes across the card. you examine it berifely, your mind going back to the TOTEM LATHE and your experiements with it.

PP: I think i know what i need to do.

you rush back to the Totem Lathe and inset the card, and unlike the lack of action that occured with your unpunched one, it actually does something. an array of SHARP INSTRUMENTS is deployed from the lathe.

as you do this, the KERNAL SPRITE moves elsewhere, exploring your BEDROOM as if in search of something

You watch the screen as the SHARP INSTRUMENTS begin moving, as if cutting into some invisible object.

IT: good thinking.
IT: though i think it would work better with something to shape.

The room your sister occupies suddenly shakes violently and Kaitou is knocked to the floor. You attempt to use the CURSOR to lift her to her feet. The action, as you suspected, proved futile, but you thought it was worth a shot anyway.

IT: are you okay?

Kaitou had been moving to place the CRUXITE in the LATHE when the floor seemed to shake underneath her, as it was unexpected she lost her balance and fell flat on her ass. the CRUXITE, rolling away somewhere

You ZOOM OUT to take a look around. Although you're range is limited, you can see further than the game's influence can reach. A large plume of smoke billows up into the sky from behind a group of trees at the edge of your vision. A fire? No, what about that massive quake? Maybe an explosion of some kind. But why would there be...

Your TRAIN OF THOUGHT is interrupted by a series of flaming objects falling from the sky. Fuck.

You are now the POSTAL WORKER and you are seriously freaking out. First there was that earthquake (or at least that’s what you think it was) that knocked you to the ground, aggravating your already tender MYSTERIOUS HEAD INJURY. Fun, that was not. Now, just to make things worse, you are pretty sure you have gained a concussion. You have come to this conclusion thanks to the hallucination of a flashing blue orb of light slowly floating towards you. Today is not your day and you can’t imagine how it could possibly get any worse.

You get up and retrieved the CRUXITE from the corner where it had rolled, strapping into the LATHE and repeating the process of poking the card into the slot. You watch as the SHARP INSTRUMENTS transform the CRUXITE into a TOTEM, which You quickly captchelouge and leaves the room heading back toward the balcony and the ALCHEMITER.

You stop short when she enters the living room and sees her GUEST on the floor, blearily staring up at what appears to be the KERNALSPRITE, but slightly altered.

PP: BRO.
PP: Talk to me!
pp: SOMETHING WEIRDS GOING ON WITH THE BLUE GLOWEY THING.
